Some like to live on the edge. Always in motion. Others need safeness and routines. Families. They come in many shapes and colours. Lately I have been introduced to a lot of different families. I have witnessed both kind-heartedness and solidarity. Coldness and selfishness. I wished to portray the families – and their members – in the way they wanted to see themselves. Emphasize the qualities that they wished to be remembered for. Some needed more staging than others.

Family Portraits is an ongoing project which I started in 2019. It consists of a series of photografic works. I take my sculptures out of the studio and place them in the world.
